WORKING WITH ME
About Me
I’m a freelance videographer based in Guildford, filming for brands, agencies and organisations across Guildford, Woking and Surrey. My work centres on events, interviews and branded content that feels natural on screen but meets the technical standards clients expect from professional Guildford video production.

Professional Videographer – Guildford
-
On most jobs I work as a one‑person production unit, bringing camera, sound and lighting so you don’t have to co‑ordinate a large crew. I plan the logistics in advance, keep the schedule tight on the day, and stay flexible so we can react to changes in speakers, timings or locations.
-
People on camera are guided through the process step by step, from where to sit and look to how to deliver their lines, which helps even first‑timers feel comfortable. For every brief I’m thinking ahead to the final edit, framing and shooting in a way that makes it fast to cut into web, social and internal‑comms versions.

EQUIPMENT
My core kit is a compact but robust cinema‑style camera package built for corporate and event work around Guildford and Surrey. It’s designed to move quickly between interview setups, conference rooms and outdoor locations while delivering clean, detailed footage.
Cameras:
Cinema‑grade camera bodies with interchangeable lenses
Stabilised setups for smooth handheld and gimbal shots
High‑quality codecs that hold up well in colour grading
Because I own and maintain my gear, you get consistent image quality from project to project, whether we’re filming a short interview or a full‑day conference.

VIDEOGRAPHY LIGHTING
-
Most shoots happen in spaces that weren’t built as studios, so I use lightweight LED fixtures that can be adjusted quickly without taking over the room. The look is intentionally natural: soft, flattering light on people, with enough contrast to keep the image interesting but still true to the environment.
-
For stage events and conferences I balance my kit with the venue lighting, protecting skin tones and presentations while keeping the overall atmosphere intact. The result is footage that looks professional on camera yet still feels like the real space your audience recognises.

VIDEOGRAPHY SOUND
-
Good pictures fall flat if the audio is weak, so I put a lot of focus on sound recording during every shoot. Depending on the setup I’ll combine wireless lavalier microphones, a boom mic and backup recorders to protect against interference and unexpected noise.
-
During post‑production I tidy levels, reduce distractions and mix for clarity, so your videos play well on laptops, phones and in larger rooms. This approach is particularly important for interviews, talks and training pieces where your message lives or dies on how easy it is to hear.
